Chocolate Banana Smoothie

If you’re looking for a healthy and yummy way to satisfy that sweet tooth, this may just be the smoothie for you. A perfect mixture of bananas and chocolate sweetness, all while nutrient packed with ingredients like chia seeds which all help keep us happy & healthy.

Did you know that Chia seeds contain 5 times more calcium than milk, 7 times more Vitamin C than oranges, 3 times more iron than spinach, 2 times the potassium than bananas, and 8 times more Omega 3 than salmon? 

Yep, you read all that right. 


Chia seeds are a secret body power boosting food that you can sprinkle raw onto almost any food or hide in smoothies like we’re going to do here.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 frozen sliced banana
2/3 c oats
2 Tablespoons peanut butter
2 Tablespoons of flax seeds (can also use chia seeds)
2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup (optional. may substitute for honey or agave)
1 c almond milk

Instructions:

1. Place all the yummy ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency.

2. Pour into a glass, immediately start doing a happy dance, and drink your smoothie.
